The First United Methodist Church of Mesa requested Saemisch + Di Bella Architects to develop a master plan that recognized their commitment to remain a thriving urban spiritual center.  The long range master plan provides for retirement housing and office space that will complete the goals of the ministry. The vitality of that plan is realized in the Family Life Center.  This facility houses recreational spaces, meeting areas and classrooms for all ages but with an emphasis on teen and family groups.  The 34,000 square foot building has two-story classrooms adjacent to a gym.  The architectural character of this building is derived from the existing church buildings and is energized by the addition of new materials and vibrant colors.
